Worked Like a Charm
This little doodad worked like a charm. It only took maybe ten seconds after I plugged it in to finish, and meanwhile the LED light indicators did exactly what the included instructions said would happen. Once the lights showed solid green, I unplugged it and tried closing my door without getting in – and no horn honk! Hooray! I still get the same dashboard notifications when I open the door with the engine running, but that’s OK, at least the neighbors no longer get a notification from my obnoxious horn.
One thing worth mentioning – right at the end of the programming cycle, my vehicle briefly made some notification sounds, as if I had just opened the door, plus the engine paused running, maybe for about half a second. That was mildly startling for a quick instant, but then everything immediately returned to normal. I assume this is standard behavior for the computer being re-programmed since the indicator lights on the Eliminator were all green, and it did work perfectly. Note to 4D Tech – it might be a good idea to add a mention of this to the instructions, just so nobody has a brief moment of panic when/if this happens to them.
But nevertheless, it was worth every penny. Nice job, 4D Tech, you just helped me to like my vehicle a little bit better. -
Honk eliminator programmer
There’s really not much to review. Plugged it in 6 seconds later it said it was done.
Easiest freaking thing to use and it eliminated the double horn honk. Just wish I would have known about it a year ago. Just buy it already, it’ll take you longer to open the package than program the vehicle. -
