How it works
The device remembers your Start / Stop preference between drives. Use the factory Start / Stop button to change your selection.
Factory remote start continues to work with the Start / Stop Eliminator installed.

- 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026 Jeep Wrangler with gasoline or diesel engines, including eTorque; not compatible with 4xe plug-in hybrid models
Compatible with eTorque-equipped Wranglers. Not compatible with Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid models.
Installation
- Simply insert between factory wire harness and the 8 pin plug at the gateway module below the steering wheel - no tools required!
- Look up into the driver-side footwell to find the gateway module.
- Use the black 8-pin connector up high, not the lower gray connector.
- Push the connector inward, firmly press its release tab, then pull it out. Connect the eliminator inline and fully seat both connections.

Start Stop Eliminator
Installed this device on our ‘25 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X and it works just as described and it works flawlessly. I really don’t like the Engine Start Stop function and this device solves that. I suggest If you can’t get your finger tips to reach and remove the 8-pin connector on the gateway module, I recommend removing the knee bolster dash trim from underneath the steering column. No tools are required and it un-snaps from the clips. It helps you gain access to making it easier to install. Thanks!

Wrangler Start/Stop Install
Previously installed 4D unit on 2025 Durango in 5 min with no problem. Just ord & installed a 4D unit for friend's Wrangler -- I have XXL mitts & had BIG problems on removal & install unlike the 4D video I watched 5+ times. Helpful Hints on removal: Had to secure a wire tie on the gang of wires on the plug that is to be removed. Pop the retainer with left hand & then pull the wire tie to remove the plug. That was the easy part. Helpful Hint on installing 4d hardware: 1st install 4D plug back into Durango female plug in dash. Used very long needle nose pliers to initially seat the plug & then pushed on rear of 4D plug with same pliers to seat & hear the click of the retainer. The female end of the 4D plug into the Durango male connector was no problem. Doing this method initially, would have saved me hrs. Good luck.

2024 Jeep Wrangler start/stop eliminator
I have already installed a eliminator on my 2025 Ford Explorer ST. Now it's time to install one on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler. Easy install in less than a 2 minutes. Watch the 4D Tech video on there site and NO MORE pushing a button every time you start your car ! Works exactly as advertised. Money well spent for sure.
