About Start / Stop Eliminators

The Auto Start/Stop system is simple. It automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is at rest (but not in park) to cut fuel use and eliminate idle emissions. It then restarts the engine automatically when the driver lifts off the brake to get going again.

Please note, this is sometimes confused with the Auto Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) feature on many vehicles. The idle shutdown system shuts off a vehicle that is idling while parked after 30 minutes. To disable AEIS, see our offering under the "Programmers" category!
