NOTES:
- SiriusXM Travel Link requires a navigation equipped kit and your vehicle to be factory equipped with SiriusXM.
- MODEL SELECTION: The vehicle model selection MUST match your vehicle trim. Do not select GT350 for a Base model or GT Mustang as programming will be wrong and you will loose access to change steering modes.
- GT350 Specific Notes: Although the bezel does have an additional "Exhaust Mode" switch, this kit does not add the Exhaust Mode function to the vehicle.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- Q – “I have manual climate controls. Will this add the on screen controls / automatic climate control?”
- A – Yes. This kit will add single zone automatic climate control. The passenger side controls will not function.
- Q – “Will this add SYNC Connect / FordPass controls from my phone?”
- A – No. SYNC Connect is a separate modem optioned in some vehicles. We do not currently offer a kit to add this functionality.
- Q – “Will this kit void my factory warranty?”
- A – No. This kit will not void your vehicle warranty. Although Ford will not warranty the components in our kit, we do for one full year!
- Q – “Can I still update the SYNC software when updates are available?”
- A – Yes. You will still be able to update SYNC via USB thumb drive from our software updates page HERE.
- Q – “Will this kit affect my SiriusXM subscription?”
- A – No. SiriusXM subscriptions are NOT affected by our kit - your SiriusXM ID will remain the same.
- Q – “My vehicle does not have a camera but I would like to add one at the same time - do I need extra parts or programming?”
- A – Our kit has an RCA input for a aftermarket backup camera. Simply let us know that you are adding a camera in the customer notes and we will enable it in programming for free!

Best Upgrade
I was looking for a solution for a 2015 Mustang with a broken 4" screen. Dealer wanted $1k for stock replacement and aftermarket stereo dealer left me hanging. Then i found 4dTech and the 4 to 8 inch conversion. This kit is everything i was looking for and more. Not only did i recover the use of my backup camera, gain access to android auto and a larger screen with touch, this kit with its included programmer unlocked the selectable drive modes on a base model GT. For someone with a performance mindset this is a game changer. At a $2k price tag including the Ford Nav option this kit is right in line with other options i had looked at. I only knocked of one star for the installation. Lack of printed documentation and instructions left me relying on a 5 year old video that did not reflect current kit revisions. This did cause some confusion on certain steps. Otherwise installation was fairly straightforward though fishing some wires was tedious. Overall I would definitely recommend this kit to all 15-17 mustang owners with the 4 inch screen as a repair and/or upgrade.

touchscreen conversion to sync3
The installation was pretty easy, and the instructions were spot on between Scott's youtube video and the printed instructions. The only issue I had was that the brackets on the sync module were reversed and I had to detach them & switch them from side to side. Also, there were 4 of the small black screws loose in the bag with the module and I needed to shake the unit until the one that got inside the unit fell out. I'm so happy with the unit overall though.

17 Mustang 4 to 8 conversion
I ordered this conversion kit with some apprehension. The apprehension was unfounded. I received the kit in three days to start with. I installed it myself with no issues. Installation took about 2 1/2 hours, watching the You Tube Video. I watched each step, stopped the video, did that step, then went on to the next step. It worked perfectly, no drama. It was expensive, but brought the car up to another level.

Great upgrade
I got this for my daughter's car to add navigation through CarPlay so she didn't have to mess with her phone while driving, and to get the (much) larger screen for the reverse camera. Instructions were great, especially the video, quality of the components in the kit is top notch, including the conversion harnesses. Re-programming was simple...now her car has the safety features I wanted with the added bonuses of auto climate control and Drive Modes. Not cheap, but definitely worth the spend.

17 Shelby GT350 4”-8” conversion
Absolutely amazing!! It may be expensive but it is worth every penny!! These guys know what they are doing, their custom harness integrates perfectly with the ford factory harness and the Sync 3 hardware. Instructions and installation video makes it very easy to do. Take your time, read or listen carefully to the instructions and enjoy your new setup!

Excellent quality all the way around on this upgrade. Everything fit perfect, not too difficult to install. Everything in the instructional video was very well explained. Wire harness excellent quality workmanship. Everything working perfectly.

4 to 8 inch upgrade
What an awesome upgrade. The little screen always bothered me and now it's gone. The best part is I did it myself in one day following the great YouTube video from 4dtech. I am very happy with this purchase and product. It works great too.
