Version 1 - Removed after programming is complete
This version makes a simple programming change to your vehicle in order to disable the start/stop system. The button and indicators will still look like they are working, but the vehicle will no longer shut down. Want to revert back to factory settings? No problem! Every time you plug the Start/Stop Eliminator back in it will toggle the state of the start stop system.
Version 2 - Stays plugged in for it to operate
This version makes absolutely no changes to your vehicle programming. It simply remembers if the auto start/stop system is enabled or disabled - eliminating the need to press the button every time you turn the vehicle on! This allows you to enable and disable the system right from the button on the dash.

- Vehicle must have volume controls on the steering wheel.
- (version 2) Must have physical OFF switch on center console.
- Simply insert into the diagnostic port below the steering wheel, remove when lights up GREEN.
- Simply insert between factory wire harness and back of diagnostic connector housing below the steering wheel (gateway module).

- A – No. The start/stop eliminator makes ABSOLUTELY NO changes to your vehicle (version 2). Version 1 does make a change to the vehicle programming.
- Q – “I plugged in the start/stop eliminator and I don't see any changes - is it working?”
- A – Yes! The start/stop eliminator simply remembers if you want the auto start/stop system turned on or off (version 2) or disables the Start/Stop system (Version 1).
- Q – “Can I use the start/stop eliminator in another compatible vehicle?”
- A – Although the start/stop eliminator does not "lock" to a vehicle, it MUST remain plugged in to work (version 2). Version 1 does lock to the first vehicle it is plugged into. In any case, multiple vehicles WILL require multiple eliminators.
- Q – “What if I want to occasionally turn the auto start/stop system back on?”
- A – Simply use the auto start/stop button on your dash like normal (version 2) or plug the Start/Stop Eliminator back in to toggle the system (version 1).

No More AutoStart/Stop
We had just bought our first car with AutoStart/Stop. Both of us from the beginning understood it but just had issues dealing with the feature. After finding out there was no user way to turn the feature off other than to push the button every time we got in, I looked for a bypass. Well we found 4Tech’s cable solution (v2). So ordered it, it came quickly, watched the install video and a few minutes later, the issue was resolved! My wife and I are very happy with this easy solution. I have a 2016 Ford Fusion with 38k, I purchased in March 2021. In June the check engine light came on, then a short time later it began flashing. I took to dealership they said plugs were bad and replaced them. Cost me $200. In September engine light comes on again., and start flashing on my way to work. I cancelled work and had car towed to dealership. I told the mechanic, I think this is happening due to the auto start/stop. He said no, everything checked out and one of the plugs was defective so they replaced it no charge. Well it cost me $250 to have towed and I missed a weeks work waiting for them to look at it, costing me $2200 in lost wages. It arrived in 3 days, I used it immediately. It flashed then went solid green at described..been using almost a week now. EUREKA...aggravation of trying to remember to shut off start /stop is gone...engine check light is gone, tow Bill's are gone, stupi d mechanics are gone, lost wages are gone. It's a fantastic product, it did a lot more for me than to just remove an aggravation. I would highly recommend to anyone. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Works great and does the job
Bought it, it was delivered, I followed the instructions and plugged it in. It flashed blue then solid green. Unplugged and drove. That annoying "feature" was gone. I've recommended it to friends of mine who own Fusions.
