2021 F250 Sync 3 Nav Upgradeh
I regretted not getting the factory Nav option from the moment I drove my 2021 SuperDuty off the lot. When I inquired, Ford Service said upgrading would be pricey and time consuming = $$$$$. I found the 4DTech upgrade online, but was hesitant for two reasons: 1) It seemed too simple, contradictory to what I was told by Ford Service, and 2) I’m a great mechanic, but I stay far away from things with wires. After watching the installation video repeatedly, I finally decided to give the 4DTech upgrade a try.
Yesterday I bit the bullet and began the upgrade. I used the plastic installation tools, which I highly recommend, to get the dash cover off. Then came the connectors which were stubborn, but came loose with only the loss of one tiny retention clip…nothing I’m losing sleep over.
After that, smooth sailing. The video helped a lot, and just over a half hour later, I turned on my ignition and was pleasantly surprised to see a Nav icon appear, soon followed by a map. A test ride proved everything else in the dash was still working, the new Nav system tracked my route, and all my radio presets were still there. Success!
I could not be happier with this upgrade. It went flawlessly, worked perfectly, and was certainly far less expensive than Ford suggested for them to do it. (They never actually gave me a number). Also, installation was easy, even for an electronics-shy guy like me. A+ Upgrade. -

Excellent purchase and even easier install
Just took a trip after install and Nav worked great every time I used it. Install was easy, however the radio cover plugs are difficult to remove so I just left them on and held out of the way to unbolt the main unit. Fast delivery and just sent back the old unit. Thanks

2020 F350 NAVIGATION UPGRADE FOR SYNC 3
After buying from a Chinese vendor, installing, and losing my siriusxm and backup camera I decided to go with 4dtech. Glad I did. Install was a breeze, everything worked correctly and the can opener works ad advertised. Thanks 4dtech!

2021 F250 Navigation upgrade for Sync 3
When I ordered my truck I wasn't even aware that Sync 3 didn't automatically come with navigation. When I found this upgrade from 4Dtech I knew I wanted it. It arrived very promptly and well packaged. I had already watched the instructional video online. The install was very easy. When I powered the truck up afterwards everything worked exactly as it was supposed to work. I am very pleased and would recommend 4Dtech to anyone.
