How it works
The 4D Tech Start / Stop Eliminator initially turns Auto Start / Stop OFF. Leave it there, or use your factory button to turn it ON. The device remembers either selection and restores it the next time you start your F-150.
Your factory button continues to work normally. Turn Start / Stop ON or OFF whenever you want; the device remembers either selection. Remote start continues to work.
Check your fitment
Fits the F-150 model years shown in the Fits section above, including Raptor. Works with either factory button location: above the touchscreen or to the left of the steering wheel, above the headlight switch.
Not compatible with PowerBoost™ Hybrid models.
Install behind the lower glovebox
No tools, wire cutting or programming are required. Watch the vehicle-specific installation video on this page before you begin.
- Open the lower glovebox, press both sides inward to release the stops, then lower it. As shown in the video, the glovebox can be unsnapped from its hinges and set aside for access.
- Locate the rightmost white connector in the bank of four shown in the diagram. Press its release tab, which faces toward the driver's side, and unplug it.
- Connect the Start / Stop Eliminator inline between the factory connector and its original connection point. Push both connections fully into place until each audibly clicks.
- Tuck the device and wiring out of the glovebox's path. Refit the glovebox on its three hinges and close it, checking that the wiring does not interfere.
Use the diagrams to identify the location and the video to see the complete connection procedure. Diagram colors are highlights; identify the connector by position, not color alone.
The same installation connection is used across all supported F-150 versions, including Raptor.

Easy Install/Works as Expected
The eliminator was super easy to self install (10 min) and works as expected. Upon start up after installation, just push the button to turn off start/stop function and the product remembers your selection and it will be OFF every start up automatically after. Great Product!

F150 (2021) START / STOP ELIMINATOR
This thing works PERFECTLY! Easy install took me maybe 15 minutes and now the switch stays exactly as I set it ... on = on when I start the vehicle off = off when I start the vehicle - It'll always be on OFF as I absolutely HATE this feature and CRINGE when my truck stall at a light, but for those that want a reasonable cost effective CHOICE - this is a ligit product. I also have the under dash model installed on my wifes 2019 Edge - also works perfectly but was a bit more challenging to install due to the under the dash location.

Works well!
I installed the 4D Tech F150 Engine Start/Stop eliminator a couple of weeks ago. Easy to install but more importantly it's working well. It retains the switch setting prior to turning the car off so you can run it on or off. I mostly run it off. Love it!

Auto Start a great experience!
At first I thought, hey the auto start stop feature isn't so bad but then thought about the consequences on my alternator and battery. I searched for and found this great product. After watching the wonderful informative how to install video, it took me less than 5 minutes to install it. Now I can enjoy driving my truck without having to worry about turning off the auto start stop feature. I would totally recommend this product to anyone and everyone.
