Your preferred setting, every drive
The 4D Tech Start / Stop Eliminator remembers your Auto Start / Stop setting and restores it when you start your Tahoe. Choose OFF to keep the engine running at stops, or choose ON to use the factory system. Your factory button continues to work normally, and remote start is retained.

2025–2026: Watch the 2025–2026 installation video. This procedure involves moving the screens to access the connection. Watch the full video before starting; do not follow the older trim illustrations.
Tools to have ready
- Plastic trim-removal tools
- 7 mm nut driver
- Small flat-blade screwdriver

Installation overview
- Access the switch panel. Follow the video for your model year to remove the surrounding trim and reach the factory connection.
- Connect inline. Disconnect the factory plug from the switch panel and connect the Start / Stop Eliminator between them, following the video.
- Reassemble and check operation. Follow the video to position the wiring and reinstall the trim. Use your factory Start / Stop button to select your preferred setting.
Seat the cam-lock connector before closing the lever. Start with the lever fully open. Press the connector squarely into its mating socket until the lever moves at least 45 degrees on its own, then use the lever to draw it in the rest of the way. If it will not seat, stop and check alignment rather than forcing it or swapping lock handles.

Start Stop Eliminator
The lock handle on the harness would not twist. We had to switch it with the green handle on the factory harness and then just clip the start stop harness into the factory harness. It appears GM may have slightly changed design. We are not sure. Everything other than that works as advertised Thanks!!! [4D Tech] Thank you for your review! The connector was not changed. The cam lock design required it to be seated perfectly and can be very stiff. Remember, the cam lock needs to be fully open and pressed into the mating connector until the camlock moves at least 45 degrees on its own before using the cam lock to draw it in the rest of the way.
