The 4D Tech Start / Stop Eliminator remembers your Auto Start / Stop setting and restores it when you start your Ranger. Choose OFF to keep the engine running at stops, or choose ON to use the factory system. Your factory button continues to work normally, and remote start is retained.

Installation behind the glovebox
No tools are required. Lower the glovebox door and connect the device inline with the gateway module, as shown in the vehicle-specific installation video and diagrams below. A paper quick-start guide is included.
Your device may look different from the video. The current product revision uses a 90-degree connector, oriented the same way as the factory connector removed from the module.
- Access the gateway module. Lower the glovebox door as shown in the installation video and first diagram below.
- Release the factory connector. Push the connector inward first, firmly press and hold the release tab, then try pulling the connector out. Watch the connector-release step in the video before beginning.
- Connect the device inline. Insert the Start / Stop Eliminator between the factory harness and the gateway module connection shown in the second diagram.
- Finish the installation. Follow the video to position the device and wiring and return the glovebox to its normal position.

2025 Ford Ranger start/stop eliminator
After watching their video on YouTube, it was a simple plug and play. Works perfectly. Only issue was getting my hands behind the module to unplug cable, not 4dtech fault. Their instructions were perfect to get the cable removed. Love not having to turn off every time I get in the vehicle.

Easy install
I was able to install the Eliminator after viewing the YouTube video produced by 4D Tech. I am very happy with the functionality of the Eliminator. I wish I had received the updated version without the 90 degree cabling design. That version made inserting the connector into the wall socket difficult. The new version appears as though it will make this aspect of the installation so much easier.

Made A Problem Go Away
I received my 4D start-stop eliminator as a Christmas present from my son who was tired of listening to me gripe about the much-despised start/stop function on my new Ranger. Installation was difficult, a problem mostly associated with trying to get my 80-year-old body crammed down between the front seat and dash and with getting my fat fingers behind the gateway module. Finally, I enlisted the help of my 18-year-old grandson who spent about 30 seconds getting the plug out of the module, 60 seconds plugging the eliminator and securing the wires and a few more seconds putting the glove box back in. The start/stop eliminator worked exactly as advertised. This is a great product, works well and is easy to install if you're young enough.

My first car with the auto stop/start. Very annoying. This solves the problem. Installation pretty simple, small hands help as its a tight spot to get to.
