The 4D Tech Start / Stop Eliminator remembers your Auto Start / Stop setting and restores it when you start your Ranger. Choose OFF to keep the engine running at stops, or choose ON to use the factory system. Your factory button continues to work normally, and remote start is retained.

Installation behind the glovebox
No tools are required. Lower the glovebox door and connect the device inline with the gateway module, as shown in the vehicle-specific installation video and diagrams below. A paper quick-start guide is included.
Your device may look different from the video. The current product revision uses a 90-degree connector, oriented the same way as the factory connector removed from the module.
- Access the gateway module. Lower the glovebox door as shown in the installation video and first diagram below.
- Release the factory connector. Push the connector inward first, firmly press and hold the release tab, then try pulling the connector out. Watch the connector-release step in the video before beginning.
- Connect the device inline. Insert the Start / Stop Eliminator between the factory harness and the gateway module connection shown in the second diagram.
- Finish the installation. Follow the video to position the device and wiring and return the glovebox to its normal position.

Start / Stop Eliminator
Works great. Install was fairly easy. Watch install video. The Ford release tab on the Ford connector was a little difficult to push in with older weak fingers but after I got that loose it is extremely easy. Practice pushing the tab on the eliminator first and then you will know what you are doing and how hard you need to push that tab.

Fairly easy to install in my 2026 Ford Ranger XLT. The only difficult part was removing the vehicle factory connection which was a little stiff and stubborn, but I finally was able to get it off. After that, everything else hooked up in seconds. Works as advertised!

Start/Stop Eliminator
I got one for my 26 Ranger and works great.. makes it easier to drive your truck . Definitely would recommend there product for any vehicle that has the start/stop on it..

works great - easy to install
Works great, easy to install, hardest thing is getting the factory connection off, which can be stiff and it's awkward, but once you get the factory connection off, the adapter plugs in right away. Takes about 5-10 min.

4dtech auto stop eliminator
This device arrived with excellent instructions and fit perfectly in line with the existing cable going to/from the center console. Turn off the auto stop, shut off the vehicle and subsequent uses of the truck were without the autostop. If you choose to use the feature, turn it back on using the normal button, shutdown the vehicle and its back to auto operation. LOVE IT! Cuts down wear on the starter, battery and alternator immediately!
