The 4D Tech Start / Stop Eliminator remembers your Auto Start / Stop setting and restores it when you start your F-150. Choose OFF to keep the engine running at stops, or choose ON to use the factory system. Your dashboard button continues to work normally, and remote start is retained.

Leave the device plugged in. It operates through the diagnostic port while installed; it does not make programming changes to your truck.

  1. Locate the diagnostic port. Find it below the steering wheel, as shown above and in the video.
  2. Plug in the device. Seat it securely in the port. The video shows a brief blue light when a connection is established.
  3. Choose your setting. Start the truck and use the factory Start / Stop button to select ON or OFF.
  4. Leave it connected. The device remembers your selection between drives while it remains plugged in.

Removing the device restores normal factory operation. A paper quick-start guide is included. Contact our support team if you need help.

Does it need to stay plugged in?

Yes. This is a leave-in memory device, not a programmer that you unplug after installation. It occupies the diagnostic port while in use. Remove it when the port is needed for vehicle diagnostics, then reconnect it afterward.

    Got this for my 2018 F 150. just plug it and and let it do it's thing , that easy. If you need to remove it for any reason just unplug it and everything goes back to factory and then simply plug it in again when ready.

    I got this for my 2018 F 150. Just plug it in and forget about it. If you need it removed just simply unplug it and plug it back it when ready. Couldn't be easier.

    Plug it into the OBD connector and it remembers the stop start button setting. No more having to keep disabling after each start up.

    Worth the money to never have hit auto start stop switch every time you start vehicle. Seen all types of solutions. Trailer plugs, devices hooked directly to switch. This is simple and it works.
