- SiriusXM Travel Link requires a navigation equipped kit and your vehicle to be equipped with SiriusXM (factory equipped or with one of our SiriusXM kits).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- Q – “I have manual climate controls. Will this add the on screen controls?”
- A – No. There is not a cost effective way to add automatic climate control.
- Q – “Will this add SYNC Connect / FordPass controls from my phone?”
- A – No. SYNC Connect is a separate modem optioned in some vehicles. We do not currently offer a kit to add this functionality.
- Q – “Will this kit void my factory warranty?”
- A – No. This kit will not void your vehicle warranty. Although Ford will not warranty the components in our kit, we do for one full year!
- Q – “Can I still update the SYNC software when updates are available?”
- A – Yes. You will still be able to update SYNC via USB thumb drive from our software updates page HERE.
- Q – “Will this kit affect my SiriusXM subscription?”
- A – No. SiriusXM subscriptions are NOT affected by our kit - your SiriusXM ID will remain the same.

8" Sync 3 Upgrade for SuperDuty
Install was straightforward...under an hour even if you've never done it before. GET THE TRIM PRY TOOLS WITH YOUR ORDER. I've actually had the faceplate off a couple times now after adding 4Dtech's sub harness for putting in an aftermarket amp and sub. The programmer makes this a no brainer. No forscan required. I've been on the phone with these guys a couple times with questions for both projects and it was always easy to get someone to talk to and they were always had the answers I needed. Don't cheap out or roll the dice on eBay if you want to avoid headaches. For a product and company that will be on your side during and after the install go with these guys. I shopped around a lot before pulling the trigger, and several months and two installs later I'm convinced I made the right choice.

Super Easy!
I watched the provided install video once, then went and installed it. Took 15 minutes and everything worked perfectly. Shipped fast and everything was exactly as promised. This is my second vehicle I’ve upgraded with a 4D Tech upgrade kit and both have been great.

Sync 3 instilation
Great Product. All worked great except the plug in for my phone it seems dead. I need to take all apart again to see if I pluged the wrong cable in. Also The instalation took me 3 1/2 hours. Most of that time was spent trying to unplug the cables from the back of the panel to be removed. I rewatched the video on you tube several times . The little clips on the back do not release as easily as it shows in the Video. When finished my fingers were nearly bloody, and very sore for days after. But all went well except the USB port.

4" TO 8" SYNC 3
Purchased the 4" to 8" Sync 3 upgrade with Nav. Install was pretty easy. The unit works great. I have my rear backup camera installed. Hopefully someone comes up with a Front camera adapter for this unit. Would definitely purchase one.

I’m happy with this unit. The install went exactly as the video shows. That never happens, lol. All I wanted out of this was a full screen gps. It’s what I got.

2019 F250 4” to 8” Conversion.
You know when you get instructions on how to install something it never works out that way. Well this install went exactly as the video said it would. I installed it on the same day it arrived. It’s an expensive upgrade but I just bought a new 2019 Super Duty diesel and it had the 4.2 inch sync. This was well worth the money. I recommend it.
