It was a pain to install, but not 4D fault it was ford's fault. When I got it installed it worked fine, glad I got it.

Ford Escape ‘22 Start / Stop Eliminator
4 Stars for difficult install on my ‘22 Escape. Technically not 4D’s fault-there is almost no clearance where Ford put the OBDII port. Tried the 4D video install method for over half hour and got nowhere trying to remove the 2 halves of the plug.
New plan: The OBDII/Gateway module is held on by 2 x 8mm nuts. Got a ratcheting box end wrench and carefully removed nuts so as they didn’t fall into the abyss directly underneath to never be found again (socket doesn’t have clearance, must use wrench). Once entire port was free of the mounting bolts I could manipulate it so I could see and get at the applicable parts to separate the factory connection. Had to pry the factory wire insert plug out with screwdriver while pushing on lever shown in video (yes, mine was that stuck). That was impossible if I hadn’t removed the whole port. Lubed up the female and male ends of the 4D insert with dialectic grease and install clicked right in. Put it back together. Works good so far after difficult install. -
