- The hinge is painted black. You can paint to match your truck if desired - not visible when tailgate is closed.
- Requires basic hand tools such as 3/8 Ratchet and T50 Torx. The Torx bit can be purchased from us HERE.

Just installed my soft open tailgate on my 2016 Ford F-150. Easy to do after watching the how to video. I absolutely love this feature! Now I don’t have to watch over my kids every time they open my tailgate.
