- Q – “I have manual climate and the bottom right corner of my screen just has the date. Will this add the on screen controls?”
- A – No. There is not a cost effective way to add automatic climate control.
- Q – “Will this add SYNC Connect / FordPass controls from my phone?”
- A – No. SYNC Connect is a separate modem optioned in some vehicles. We do not currently offer a kit to add this functionality.
- Q – “Will this kit void my factory warranty?”
- A – No. This kit will not void your vehicle warranty. Although Ford will not warranty the components in our kit, we do for one full year!
- Q – “Can I still update the SYNC software when updates are available?”
- A – Yes. You will still be able to update SYNC via USB thumb drive from our software updates page HERE.
- Q – “Will this kit affect my SiriusXM subscription?”
- A – No. SiriusXM subscriptions are NOT affected by our kit - your SiriusXM ID will remain the same.

SYNC 3 Upgrade 2016 F350
This kit worked great. My stock system died on me this winter and since I had been eying this upgrade for a while decided it was the time to get it. Installation video did a great job of explaining the install and I had the old on out and the new one in in about 30 min.

Good product
Easy install- buy the tools and life is easy! The system is very similar to our other Ford (same sync gen, oe). The only difference I notice is that XM channels change sound immediately, but the graphics on the screen take several seconds to update which does impact station surfing. The steering wheel volume control also changes stations when double clicked too fast which did not happen previously. Otherwise, this has been a good upgrade.

Installation
Installed today in a 2016 Ford F350. Took about 45 minutes. Most difficult was removing existing wire clips. Otherwise went smooth. New unit worked as soon as I turned the key. Even remembered my radio presets! Been wanting this unit for over a year. Happy so far.

Sync 3 Upgrade 2016 F450
This was by far the easiest thing I have ever done to my truck, 30 minutes at the most. Every aspect of my system is so much better now. Quick easy installation, pre-programmed, delivered very quickly. The upgrade makes every function easier to perform, Android Auto is great to have now, and the videos 4dtech has for this are perfect, well timed and very very clear. Thank you, I have already told everyone about this, because I am way satisfied with the entire package.

Synch2 to Synch3 Upgrade
Great system and customer service. 4D tech videos made it super easy to install. Would be a 5 star rating if the system cane with more options on daytime background colors/tones and installing background pics as I was able to with synch2.
